Italian Food - Kyle Phillips maintains this excellent site with constantly changing content. Highly recommended for frequent visits if Italian food is one of your joys. "My father was an Archaeologist, and I grew up dividing my time between the United States and Italy. My senior year in college he bought a house in Florence and suggested I stay for a year or two. That was 15 years ago; I'm still in Florence, where I work as a translator, food & travel writer, and photographer. My translation of Artusi, the classic Italian cookbook, was published by Random House in 1996, and I am WebWeaver of Events in Florence and Tuscany, the magazine published for Tuscany's sizable English-speaking community. I also work with WineAccess, a great Internet wine site, and edit fiction."

La Federazione Italiana Cuochi - If you don't read Italian you might better go directly to the recipe pages at this site maintained by the Italian Federation of Chefs. If you do read Italian: "La F.I.C. è eretta in Associazione con atto notarile costitutivo e Statuto dal 1978. In Italia è l'unica organizzazione che associa i cuochi professionisti. Essa ha sede a Milano in via Pergolesi, 29. Attualmente la F.I.C. annovera circa 16.000 cuochi associati. UC Davis - The premier wine-making and viticulture school in the USA. The first page may take a while to download its graphics but the site is rich in all manner of things related to wine.

AK Cellars - This winery is in Santa Barbara, CA, and specializes in wines that are native to the Rhone region of France and the Piedmont region of Italy. Santa Barabara may have finely found some grapes that belong there. They will ship UPS if you live in a State that permits this.

King Arthur Flour - This is a comprehensive supply source for all things needed by both professional and home bakers. You can shop online and also ask for a mailed catalog. Especially interesting are the variety of flours.

The Bread Bakers Guild of America - is a non-profit organization "for individuals...for individual professional and amateur bakers...for individuals in the baking industry who care about bread and care about quality."
